About the conference
We, the IEEE EMBS Student Chapter, Ramaiah Institute of Technology are honored to organize the 1st IEEE EMBS International Student Conference in Ramaiah Institute of Technology, India, from 19-21 December 2018. We cordially invite all for the participation in the conference. The theme of the conference is “Innovative young minds impacting affordable and progressive healthcare.” It is an open opportunity for all creative participants to flourish their ideology concerning the healthcare domain. The conference also concentrates in motivating the young minds and guides them on entrepreneurship. The conference makes way for creating collaboration between the biomedical engineering and the hospitals. Also, the event has some technical programs like keynotes speeches, workshops, and exhibitions for all participants.

About Ramaiah Institute of Technology
Ramaiah Institute of Technology was found in 1962 by late Dr. M.S. Ramaiah, philanthropist, and educationist. The institute offers 13 undergraduate programs and 8 postgraduate programs. 13 of the departments are recognized as the research center by VTU. The institute is ISO 9001-2008 certified Bureau Verities Certification (India) Pvt. Ltd. All the departments are accredited by National Board of Accreditation, Delhi, India.
About IEEE EMBS MSRIT Student Chapter
IEEE EMBS Bangalore Chapter was established with a motive of providing the needed platform for the present and emerging biomedical engineers to work towards advancement in the field of healthcare by improving and advancing technology for better diagnosis and treatment of chronic and acute healthcare maladies. EMBS Bangalore Chapter along with its counterparts shares a common goal of understanding biology and medical systems to improve global health and enhance the quality of life ultimately. It provides a forum for like-minded individuals of the various IEEE communities to exchange ideas covering the healthcare technology comprehensively. Dedicated volunteers, as a part of the Executive Committee of the Section as well as the Chapters continuously strive to bring more activities under this community making it a joyful journey of science.
About Department of Medical Electronics
The Medical Electronics department of Ramaiah Institute of Technology, Bengaluru was started in the year 1996. The department is offering 4-year full-time B.E. degree course in Medical Electronics, affiliated to VTU, Belgaum, recognized by Government of Karnataka, approved by AICTE, New Delhi and accredited by NBA. The department is located at Lecture Hall Complex of RIT campus. The department consists of highly motivated and qualified faculty and dedicated supporting staff headed by Dr. N. Sriraam, Academic- industry experienced Professor with the specialization in biomedical signal processing.
