Python for Bioinformaticians
Python has become one of the most powerful programming languages in bioinformatics community, a lot of software development and genomic data processing occur using python, we will perform basic python projects to solve simple biological tasks.
Learners will be able to:
- Deal with different data structures in python
- Use basic python commands (if statement and looping)
- Get slight knowledge with different python libraries and modules such as:
- Biopython module
- Numpy
- Matplotlib
- Pandas
- Apply the previous knowledge on simple python projects

Machine Learning is Magic
This workshop is designed to give you a flavor of what is machine learning, especially if you
have never studied machine learning before. You will learn abstractly about the field, its
applications, and how can you start learning about it on your own. Also, you will have the
chance to see the magic happening by building your own first machine learning model.
Prerequisites
- 1. Basic coding skills
- 2. Python 2.7 environment (Anaconda is preferable)
- 3. CURIOSITY
