Brian Chang

Publication

Brian is in the Health Sciences and Technology Program at Harvard Medical School with research interests in mechanical circulatory support devices and heart failure physiology. He received a PhD in Medical Engineering from MIT in 2018 while studying how organ physiology interacts with mechanical circulatory support to yield diagnostic benefit, and completed a postdoc at the Institute for Medical Engineering and Science. Through his research experiences, Brian has authored eight peer-reviewed publications and is an inventor on four patents. Brian also has interests in education and educational outreach, having served as an MIT lecturer, a Boston Public Schools academic mentor through Boston Partners in Education, and an associate editor with the Journal for Emerging Investigators.
