Jowa (Zhuo) Shi


Jowa is a second-year medical student in the Harvard-MIT Health Sciences and Technology (HST) program. She does research on host RNA splicing changes during SARS-CoV-2 infection in the Burge Lab at MIT. She is part of the HST Women’s Group, Run the List, and is a nonresident tutor at Leverett House. Previously, she worked at the Department of Health Care Policy at HMS understanding antibiotic prescribing rates, telemedicine, and care-seeking behaviors and has published papers in various journals including Clinical Infectious Diseases, JAMA Pediatrics, Annals of Internal Medine, and Health Affairs.
