Ruihan Zhang

Ruihan Zhang is a second-year Masters student in the Molecular Machine Group, Center for Bits and Atoms, under the MIT Media Art and Science Program, co-supervised by Dr. Joe Jacobson and Dr. Ed Boyden. Her research focuses on combining expansion in-situ sequencing and in vivo functional imaging to study neural dynamics on zebrafish. Previously, she was a visiting student in Dr. Kay Tye’s group at MIT studying the neural mechanism underlying social hierarchy on mice. She hold a BA in Life Science in Zhiyuan Honor Program at Shanghai Jiao Tong University, China. She has been actively raising public awareness of the potential impact of technology through scientific writing and directing short films.
