IEEE Engineering in Medicine and Biology Society (EMBS) is the world’s largest international society dedicated to the study of biomedical engineering. IEEE EMBS student branch chapter at University of Moratuwa (IEEE EMBS at UoM) is the affiliated student body which was awarded the most outstanding student chapter of the Asia Pacific region in 2019/2020.
Encouraging innovation in the healthcare sector, promoting collaboration between the engineering and medical disciplines and raising awareness are some noteworthy intentions of the organization.
